How a Laken Bottle is Made
1) In one fluid motion, a hollow cylinder is extruded from a single piece of raw aluminum (about the size and shape of a hockey puck) using high-powered machinery.
2) The cylinder is then cut to the desired dimensions and polished to a smooth finish. Its interior is then lined with a BPA-free coating. This interior finish prevents your beverage from coming into contact with raw aluminum.
3) Next, the bottle is formed into its desired shape during a 24-40 step process. The number of steps depends on the complexity of the bottle’s intended design.
4) The next step constitutes one of Laken’s unique features: the screw threads are manufactured separately from the rest of the bottle and are robotically inserted and molded into the mouth of the bottle. This separate process ensures that liquids inside the container never come into contact with aluminum.
5) Next, a powder coating is robotically applied to the bottle’s exterior. Optical readers ensure that the finish is completely uniform, creating a glossy, smooth, streak-free finish.
6) Last, the Laken logo is applied to the finished product, and the appropriate lid is screwed into the bottle’s top. The karabiner is then attached to the lid to complete the unique look of Laken.
